Ahoy Day 1

Watson here.    Can you believe it - they got me up at 5am and dragged me around the block and then threw me on the boat, snapped me into my PFD and took off.  No breakfast.  No leisurely watching the Today Show waiting for dog food commercials and the wild animal segment.   It was nice that Ralph Sewall actually got up and was at the dock to send us off in style.  But alas - he did not bring Miss Chumley.   What a great way to begin a morning:  chasing a cat across the docks at Pier 37! Oh well.  Maybe next time....  Off we went into the sun.   Then we hit a fog bank as we entered Rhode Island Bay.  It was cow in a snowstorm for 3 hours.  Groan.   But FINALLY, we got to the gas dock at Westbrook CT.  By then my little legs were tied and don't you know - there was a mad dash over 4 docks and up 3 gangways to get me to the 1st piece of grass in miles..  AHHH.   So now it is sunny.  My tummy is full.  And I am going to spend the rest of the afternoon moving between that nice soft spot on the Taking Stock welcome mat in the shade to that sunny spot in the cockpit with the nice blue cushion.   Here are some photos I took.  Of course I had help for the ones I am in.   All the best to my dogly friends out there.
